This tour has been designed for food lovers who want to discover how unique and incredible Puglia is in terms of culture, nature, traditions and – of course – food.

Travelling the country that gave us pizza and pasta is a must. Especially, when you get to explore the foodie-region all the way down in the heel of Italy: Puglia.

The highlights? Seeing the beautiful trulli-houses in Alberobello and experiencing the relaxed lifestyle in authentic towns such as the white-washed Ostuni. And then we haven’t even mentioned the food yet.

What will we do?

During our 5-day culinary trip through Puglia, we’ll be guided by local food & wine experts who will tell us stories about change, innovation and the local cuisine. We will meet expert local chefs and foodies from the region who will share their secrets to ancient typical Puglia recipes.

The Chef’s Cut works values local and fresh ingredients, so we’ll meet up with small local producers who will tell us all about the seasonal products and a production based on farm-to-table methods. Oh, and we’ll visit a lot of local farmers markets – where we’ll get a feel for the real Italian way of life.

We’ll indulge ourselves in cooking classes, mozzarella making workshops, wine tastings and olive farm visits. But we’ll also have plenty of time to enjoy most iconic sights of the area. Our program includes (culinary) walking tours, dinner nights in Lecce and Ostuni and a cultural tour through Alberobello.

Where will we go?

Puglia, located in the heel of Italy. We’ll travel around the area in a private minivan for the duration of the tour and a tour leader will accompany us on the whole trip (big plus: he knows a lot of fun facts about the area).

Here’s a list of the places we’ll stop:

  • Lecce
  • Sternatia
  • Otranto
  • Alberobello
  • Ostuni
  • The Masseria

If you’d like – have a look at our full Puglia itinerary, including a breakdown of all the activities we offer.

Why should I join?

Unique experience

How often do you get a cooking class from an old Italian lady who has been making traditional home-made pasta her whole life? We thought so.

We’re passionate about food, wine, Italian ingredients and authentic experiences. We know the area inside and out and are happy to discover the hidden gems together.

You might not have thought this was possible, but you’ll meet people who are just as enthusiastic about food as you are. Great excuse to meet up afterwards to try out that new restaurant in town.

Pizza. Pasta. Mozarella. Gelato. Bread. Burrata. Taralli. Ricotta. Orechietti. – I don’t think we need to say more.
