  • On this tour you will get an opportunity to sample some of Barcelona’s historical culinary dishes, it’s vastly growing farm-to-table scene and, of course, it’s globally famous cava cellars, wineries and vineyards. Along the trip you will be accompanied by a local Catalonian Chef who will lead you through all aspects of the cuisine and it’s culture. You will have cooking lessons, market tours and wine tastings amongst other activities so that by the end of the tour you will have gained an in-depth understanding to the centuries-old culinary universe the city of Barcelona prides itself in.

Welcome to Barcelona

Upon your arrival in Barcelona you will be greeted by your local Chef with drinks and tapas in a typical restaurant. You will have an opportunity to get acclimatized to the amazing city you will be spending the next four days in and will meet the group you will be travelling with.

Penedés

Today you will drive out of the city to the luscious Penedés winemaking region, where the influences of the sun and the Mediterranean sea create a privileged terroir for wine production. You will visit two vineyards- accompanied by wine tastings in both. You will drive back through the sun soaked plains towards the city, where the revered Catalonian Chef Toni Simoes will welcome you into his kitchen. You will be seated in a private area in a location with a perfect view to the action and heat of the kitchen dinner service. Enjoy a five course dinner in the bustling yet intimate atmosphere.

Priorat

The day will start with a drive to the famous Priorat wine region. Amidst the steep, terraced, vine-laden hills you will visit a leading winery of the region. You will have a tour of the vineyard and winery, learning about wine production in this particular region, and of course tasting the incredibly complex wines the rugged terrain produces. You will have a traditional cooking class in the winery, overlooking the rolling hills below. You will have time to explore the city of Barcelona independently during the evening hours.

Farm to Table

Today you will learn about Farm to Table cooking in an authentic Catalonian manner. You will understand how to grow your produce in the best way possible, and will pick and gather the vegetables into your basket from The Chef’s Cut “Catalonian Garden”. Continue with your baskets into the kitchen to cook your own lunch with your Chef to guide you through the experience. Sit down to an incredibly rewarding lunch paired with the perfect Catalonian wine. End your day with a coffee in the exquisitely inviting neighborhood of Sarria, bordered by the city and the Vallvidrera park.

Departure

After your last Catalonian breakfast you will say your last goodbye to the city and it’s flavors. You will have a private transfer to the airport, enriched by a week of unique sights and experiences to take home with you.
