Join us for our barista course revealing the secrets of Italian coffee brewing. By the end of the course, you’ll be infused with knowledge (and with caffeine!)

Aimed at anyone who loves coffee, our course will provide you with all the knowledge of the Barista profession. Whether you own a café, enjoy the black stuff every morning or are just interested in expanding your depth in this field, this course is for you. Based at our top of the range facilities, each course is taught by no other than the famous Gabriele Cortopassi – an Italian Barista and coffee lover since birth.

Our facilities include professional coffee machines and all the other equipment required for this art, using only the finest coffee beans we can find so that you’ll come out of the course a certified barista.

About Gabriele

Besides being a coffee expert and barista school manager, Gabriele is also a professional runner. He comes from a small village in the Tuscan mountains where he lived until moving to Florence in his 20’s to be part of the sporting club as a long distance runner. After a few years as a professional runner, he started to show interest in the world of food & beverage. Gabriele has worked in many restaurants and bars starting from waiter to bartender, barista, restaurant manager and consultant. In 2006 he started to collaborate with the “Mokaflor” roasting company, and after learning about this fascinating world started his blog “aprireunbar.com”. In addition to the blog, Gabriele created the website “ilcaffeespressoitaliano.com” which gives the public excellent knowledge about the coffee world, and followed with a book by the same name.

In 2012 Gabriele started a collaboration with Italian coffee company “Simone” and opened a barista school in Florence known as “Espresso Academy”. Gabriele is fueled by his passion and love for coffee, whilst being an excellent teacher full of knowledge of this intriguing world.
